I genuinely do not know how to describe this one. Is it bronze? Is it green? I think I’m going to say a green-leaning bronze — it’s the color of late golden-hour sunlight across a summer meadow. if you have our Cricketsong colorway from the spring, this is noticeably warmer and yellower than that, but would fade into it extremely well! 

Did you know that Iceland is home to the oldest operating parliament in the world? Thingvellir National Park — literally the “assembly plains” — was the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th through the 18th centuries, where representatives from throughout Iceland gathered to decide major laws and events for the island in an assembly called the Althing. 

It’s not just a historical site though — Iceland is actually located across two tectonic plates, the North American and Eurasian, and their junction runs right through the middle of this park — it is the only place where such a continental rift is visible above sea level, and it’s only a 40 minute drive from Reykjavík, so an easy day trip!

Our yarns are hand-dyed with professional fiber reactive dyes on soft, eco-friendly vegan fibers. We do our best to represent yarn colors accurately in the listing photos, but please keep in mind that hand-dyed yarn inherently varies a bit from skein to skein, and different monitors may display colors differently.

Yarn is made in a smoke-free, pet-free environment. A scented soap is used at the beginning of the dye process on all bases except Anacostia and Severn, but is rinsed repeatedly after this; yarns otherwise do not contain fragrances.

To reduce our impact on the planet, our packaging is made of 100% plastic-free natural materials. Please reuse, recycle, or compost every piece!
