June Tea - Butterfly Pea Tea

Our June Steep Club tea is a fun one! Butterfly pea flowers are native to Southeast Asia and steep to a bright blue, lightly grassy-tasting herbal tea. When acid is added, such as lemon or lime juice, the tea transforms to a vivid purple! Try adding the chilled tea as water in a lemonade blend for a kid-friendly treat or freeze it into blue ice cubes for your favorite cocktail to turn the whole drink pink as the ice melts. This tea is sourced from Shab Row Tea Emporium of Frederick, MD.

You receive 1 oz of loose leaf tea (serves approx. 8-10 6 oz cups), a pack of compostable tea bags in a reusable muslin tea bag, and a small secret goodie (different each month!)

Care Instructions
To keep finished objects looking their best, hand-wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
Each skein is hand-washed thoroughly after dyeing, but please keep in mind that minimal bleeding or crocking can still occur on first wash. A prewash is recommended for projects using multiple colors, especially saturated colors.
As with all hand-dyed yarns, especially plant fibers, slight variations should be expected between batches and even within dye lots. We strongly advise purchasing all skeins for a project at the same time to ensure they come from the same dye lot. It is also best practice to alternate skeins as you work.
